Dear Members and Friends of CCEH,
I wanted to give you a brief update about our interim work. As you know, the Transition Steering Team (TST) is working closely with me in guiding the congregation through the three strategic questions of the interim time. After we come to reasonable clarity about these it will be time to form the Search Committee for your next settled pastor. The three questions are:
• Who is our neighbor?
• Who are we?
• What is our purpose? (How is God calling us to serve our neighbor? Etc.)
We have already done a good bit of work around the “Who is our neighbor?” question including an all-congregation discussion on Sunday, June 7.
We’re now engaging the “Who are we?” question. The TST has created a simple seven-question survey for your response. For those who can, we’ll invite you to respond to the SurveyMonkey survey online. Paper copies of the survey will also be available for those needing them.
When you see the survey, we sincerely hope you will take the time to respond promptly and thoughtfully.
